People who come to Evo Performance Rehab with frustrating elbow and arm injuries are frequently told that they have chronic tendinitis or a tear that must be treated with surgery or by discontinuing the activity that is causing them pain.
Imagine a high school or college baseball player. Having pain in your elbow is not uncommon, but being told you can't play baseball anymore is very discouraging. It's very difficult to find the root cause of why the elbow has pain or damage, such as the UCL ligament.
Often, people do not get a solid explanation as to what is going wrong other than that their elbow is getting overstressed. They're simply told that the way they swing their golf club or throw their baseball is the problem.
When we use the neurological soft tissue therapy system to do an evaluation, we can find out exactly where force isn't being absorbed well because the nervous system isn't getting the message.
We had a college baseball pitcher with elbow pain and stress to the UCL ligament who had been diagnosed. When we did our neurological search process, we discovered that the actual dysfunction was in the bicep and one of the shoulder blade controlling muscles on the opposite shoulder. So essentially, his elbow on his throwing arm was taking too much stress for inappropriate movement on his blocking side.
We worked with him to fix his posture and get his muscles and nervous system back to where they should be. After just one and a half weeks, he was back to pitching at a high level. In other cases, like golfer's or tennis elbow, clients can get regular treatment at traditional places on their forearm or elbow.
But we may find that the inhibition or source of their issue might actually be in their shoulder, or vice versa. They may have always worked on their shoulder to ease the pain in their elbow, but the problem is actually in their forearm. At Evo Performance Rehab, we can find the real causes of an injury quickly and work to fix them with a high rate of success.
One of our clients had a lot of pain on the inside of the elbow, which is called golfer's elbow. And when we did our search process, we found locations in his shoulder blade and in the area of the long head and bicep tendon.
When we made it easier for his nervous system and those parts of his body to talk to each other, his elbow hurt much less and felt looser and more supported. This man went from being extremely tight and tense with pain to being loose and fluid, and he improved his golf game because he addressed the underlying issue.

After a fairly serious head on collision back in late December of 2025 . I found myself in need of some Physical Therapy. I just so happen to work out in the same location as Tyler at Evo Perfomance Rehab. I stopped in to speak with Tyler about my situation. After visiting with Tyler and him explaining how we might be able to work together to get me back to better. I was excited to get started. I had sever lower back pain to the point where id get stuck in precarious positions and id need assistance to get free. Movement in my neck was way low. My shoulder and scapula region were in constant pain. leaving little mobility in my right arm as well as repeated occurrence of tingling sensation and my arm going completely numb. I was unable to work my usual job as a carpenter and had to completely shift my life. Thanks to Tyler's knowledge and overall care he takes for his patients and his work. I am now able to move about a lot more freely. I'm no longer getting stuck, I can move my arm in ways that used to bring pain and cut shortness of breath with no hesitation at all now. I am also a lot stronger thanks to his approach and I feel set up to be injury free thanks to my new found strengths in places I had no idea I was lacking. If you're in need of rehabilitation work or feel you're lacking proper muscle connection and would like a better foundation for your overall health and well being. Don't hesitate and give Tyler at Evo Performance Rehab a call.
